"Magic Yucatan" Estado de Yucatán by Branco

Going to Yucatan from Lisbon, Portugal, we arrive at Cancun airport (guess there’s another international airport one in Merida, also at Yucatan). Some people like to stay at Cancun. We chose the Riviera Maya. Most of the time of the 8 days we stayed, we have been in the Hotel and in the beach (we could go directly from the room to the beach by the balcony). During 2 days we have gone out to Chichen Itza and Coba. Two very interesting places. I guess that Maya were just special. The way they saw the life after life was unique. After life, there was just heaven. There's no hell, no demons. Just god, and the paradise.
Chichen Itza is one of the most important of all Maya sites. Chichen Itza is renowned for its well-preserved ruins including a sacrificial well, an observatory, and the most recognized symbol in Maya archaeology, the Castillo or Mayan pyramid. There's also a ball-court stadium where warriors would compete for the right of sacrificial homage (yes: they compete for the right of dying… I guess we had a mind between ours and theirs… we could be perfect… but today, we are just the opposite…).
