Toronto Transportation

Transportation: Taxis

Getting TO/AROUND: Taxis cruise the city in abundance and can be hailed from any street corner. Fares are generally reasonable based on a fixed tariff of $2.50 for the first .235km and 25¢ for every .235km thereafter. Thus, the fare from the airport to downtown will set you back about $40, and a ride from Union Station to the far side of Cabbagetown should cost around $10.

    Category: Airplane
Getting TO/AROUND: Arriving by air , you'll almost certainly land at Toronto's main airport, Lester B. Pearson International , about 25km northwest of the city centre. There are three terminals - terminals 2 and 3 are where most international flights arrive, and terminal 1 handles the majority of domestic flights. Each of the terminals has a full range of facilities, including money-exchange offices, ATMs and free hotel hotlines.
