Phuket is Thailand's largest island with an area of 540 square kms. It is just over on hour's flight away from Bangkok and can be reached easily from several countries in Asia. Located some eight degrees north of the equator, Phuket's balmy tropical climate is tempered by cool northeasterly breezes from November to March and by frest on-shore winds in the summer months. Phuket is the jump off point for trips to the Andaman Sea.

It was good , stayed at a hotel recommended by Jen at Kata beach and then moved north to the Mai Kao beach where I was pampered by the luxury of Marriot but have to endure some expensive cup noodle as well lol
