Oh...Island in the Sun...
A plan was thought of how should I celebrate my upcoming birthday and decision made...
Last Friday in May 2006, boarded the nite bus for a journey to Jerteh, Terengganu. A long bus ride it was. Departure time was late but I was not too worried but lil did I know...the bus driver was speeding all the way ! In short, it was one scary nite bus ride !!! Could hardly get any sleep cause each time the bus put the brakes, eyes would open wide !
Arrived just after five am to Jerteh and it was a cold raining morning. Looking and feeling a lil blur, I got off the bus and sat down for a bit. Was approached by a taxi man...got into the cab and was on the way to Kuala Besut, gateway to Perhentian island...
It was still early at Kuala Besut and time to kill before boarding the speed boat...
Finally, decent hour came to light and it was time to get on the boat, half an hour away to paradise...
