On our 3rd promotional 'free' trip, we ended up upgrading again for a small fee (couldn't cheaply change the flight times on the airline--United-- this time) and they put us in Circus, Circus.
Unique Qualities: Very family friendly with carnival booths and rides for kids. But not bad for adults, either. THe room we stayed in was very nice----large and nicely furnished. This is one of the cheapest casinos on the strip, a good value for the money.

The first time we took the 'free trip', we did upgrade for a couple hundred dollars and stayed at the Stratosphere. They gave us a complimentary upgrade to a room with a fridge and microwave and seating area with couch, chair, and coffee table. It was very nice. I had checked on the prices for our next trip and could have gotten a room for $49/night---including a buffet meal for 2 and ride up to the lookout for 2.
Unique Qualities: We had a view of the mountains, not the strip, but it still wasn't bad.

The 2nd free trip was really free! THe travel agency involved in the free trips somehow lost our upgrade info so they gave us late flight time to get there and an early morning flight back 2 days later, and the standard room at the Days Inn behind Bally's. After getting really mad and trying to get the travel agency to upgrade us---for a fee, of course, I called the airlines direct (Southwest)--- and was able to get our flight time moved for $25/person---ok, so almost free. Then I checked out the DAys Inn and noticed it was right by Bally's---a good location, I decided the travel agency did us a favor.
Unique Qualities: Did have an outdoor pool, it's little restaurant had very good cheap breakfasts, the room was comfortable, it's little casino was cute. The picture is the view from our window---but , hey, it was free!!!

I remember the showgirls poster that was taken down. That one (and a few others) at a busy intersection caused many an accident :) Nice photos & good representation of my hometown! | genispp Mon Dec 30, 2002 14:23 UTC Beautiful page: good info, photos, and travelogue | windoweb Wed Jun 26, 2002 18:26 UTC Hope to have a good time there 7/02 |
