My home town---St. Louis!

St. Louis collage
St. Louis, Mo., is a rather nice place to live---if you can put up with the weird weather. It certainly is a sports town. I spent many evenings at Busch stadium watching our Cardinals. Loved that Mark McGwire--but now we have Edmonds, Rolen, Vina, Marero, and a bunch of more great guys to love. Also loved watching the Rams and Kurt Warner on tv (couldn't afford tickets to go see them more than once)---oh yeah, Faulk is fun to watch, too. For the hockey fans, there's also the exciting Blues.

But St. Louis also has one of the best botanical gardens, science centers, and zoos that I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot.

For the true tourist, there's the Arch. The middle picture in my collage is a view west from the top of the Arch.

The picture on the bottom left is from the annual Great Balloon Race in Forest Park---home of the zoo and great Art Museam---both of which are free, along with the science center which is linked to Forest Park via a walkway from the new science center to the old planatarium.

The picture on the lower right is from the 6-flags over Mid America, just outside of St. Louis. A nicely maintained amusement park.

The bottom middle picture is from the Arch grounds looking towards the city.

The upper left picture is of our fabulous free art museum in Forest Park.

And the upper right picture is the Arch from a riverboat tour.

These are just some of the places that I like about St. Louis.
