If you're looking for a lot of water sports, the Cayman Islands are a great place to go! The Cayman Islands are world reknown for their wall dives. But even if you aren't a diver, the beaches and shore snorkelling are wonderful! It is a very pretty little island---20 miles long and 9 miles wide, but is also the 5th largest banking region in the world. The wealth in the island shows in the many fabulous resorts and residential mansions throughout the island. Flowering trees and bushes are everywhere. Beach accesses are everywhere. Dive shops are everywhere. But you'll only find one large shopping area---that would be in Georgetown. You'll also find about 500 banks there in Georgetown. Most likely there will be cruise ships anchored off shore there, too. You can be as busy as you want on this little island, or just kick back and enjoy the beauty that is everywhere! The above picture was taken on 7 mile beach. PS, check out my travelogue for more underwater pictures. |

LivedinGC Sat Jan 20, 2007 16:55 UTC That is too funny. Something was lost in the translation. Anyone can have a child in Cayman although he/she would not automatically be given citizenship. My son was born there and we're both Americans. The info you posted in incorrect. | demen Tue Jun 27, 2006 21:44 UTC The people and the indicator switches are not on the wrong side; they are on the other side. Not blaming your lack of ability to adjust to a different style of life in such minimal an instance but on the culture itself is not wise. | carteki Thu May 11, 2006 08:49 UTC Thanks for the pic of the elderly - I'm wondering what her hand is doing! | pedersdottir Wed Jun 2, 2004 07:35 UTC There's a Hell, Michigan, too but it certainly is not as colorful as this one in Cayman! This place looks like paradise.... |
