This is a beautiful resort situated on the cliffs by Whale Point just north of Depoe Bay. It's a fantastic location for gazing out at the crashing waves of the ocean. There is no beach access here, but if watching the ocean is your thing---this is the place to be. 10 months out of the year you're even likely to see whales just off the coast!
The condos are also very nice! The rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated. The kitchens are fully furnished---including a large assortment of spices. They have fireplaces and some have jacuzzi tubs. The 3 bedroom units have a lock off 3rd master bedroom with it's own coffee maker, little fridge and microwave.
Unique Qualities: It's a rather large complex and has 3 heated swimming pools and jacuzzi areas. There's also a weight room, free internet access in the main lobby, video rentals, game room, tennis courts and playground.
There are also washer and dryers in the condos.
The catch is, you must be a Worldmark owner or guest to stay here. Being an owner, we've been to several Worldmark properties and have found them all to be very upscale.

in the condo and on the beach
For the central Oregon coast, we like staying at the Ocean Terrace Condominiums. We've stayed there a couple nights for the last 3 years and found it to be rather economical---for the Oregon coast in summer.
If you can go before the end of June, you can usually get a 2 for 1 night deal at about $120.
Unique Qualities: It even has a small indoor pool. Each condo is decorated differently. So far we've loved each one we've stayed in. They are 1 bedroom with a murphy bed or fold out couch in the living room.
Address: 4229 SW Beach, Lincoln City, or.
Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: It's just south of Lincoln City and about 60 feet up on a cliff. But they have their own steps down to the beach there and we get our exercise going up and down them a few times.

rocks on Bandon Beach
No matter what kind of accommodations you're looking for, you should be able to find them here. We stayed in a hotel room, but they also have many nice looking condos and villas.
Unique Qualities: another great view of the ocean and the huge stones on the beach.

Sunset motel beach
For the southern Oregon Coast, we liked the Sunset condos in Bandon.
I forgot what we paid, but it was in line with the other properties on the coast.
Unique Qualities: They have several kinds of lodgings in this complex---motel rooms to different size cottages and condos. These are located on somewhat of a cliff, too, but they have steps to a gorgeous beach there. Lots of huge rock formations are all over the beach. We happened to spend 2 nights here when we were lucky enough to see great sunsets! Of all the years we've spent nights on the beach, it's amazing how few times we were blessed with really good sunsets!

Directions: Bandon, on the beach (or should I say above the beach). The picture shows part of the beach near the steps from the complex.
