Take the time, to smell the roses of life.You never know when that time passes. After a sixteen year battle against Breast Cancer that also spread to the lung and brain, God called her home on April 17th,2005.She didn't go alone, part of me went with her.

Welcome to my homepage. I do not claim to be a world traveler, a great photographer, or a writer. But I hope that you can enjoy some of my travel memories as you scan thru some of my pages.Travel, see new places, enjoy making new friends, taste different foods, and enjoy learning to understand how other people live was my desire. So at sixteen I left home and hitch hiked to New York City, Miami Florida, Los Angeles California and back to Livonia Center New York. Thus started my "Education by Travelling". It hasn't stopped but it has been curtailed.

After high school I enlisted in the USAF and spent the next five and a half years travelling and visiting Texas, Washington, Florida, Maryland, New York, Maine, California, Hawaii, Guam, Japan, Korea and Wyoming.

I like to visit small and out of the way places the very best. Large cities may have something for all to admire and I have in certain locations but I prefer the small out of the way places.

I will have this and other pages under contruction for some time, as I try to locate photos and put then in order. I hope you enjoy some of the out of the way places and keep checking back to see if I have updated any place that may interest you. All photographs were taken by me or members of my family with the exception of a few postcards (they provide a better picture than what I could take) and some copyrighted photos that I have received permission to use.

Starting Point

"Homestead"

This is the house that our family was raised in that is located in Livonia Center, New York. Back in the 30s and 40s this was considered a large home. Seven bedrooms but only one bath. It was built for Solomon Woodruff, who was one of the first settlers to this area of western New York State.

In between the starting and ending points, we have resided in the following places. Some were short and others were long stays. There are many places inbetween that because of my occupation we were considered tourists (short stays) and not travellers (long stays).

Ending Point

This is our home in Sun City Center, Florida. Retired, moved twenty two times, and finally hope we have come to rest here. Other home are in the travelouges.
