I was in Costa Rica from August through December of 1994. It does not seem that long ago to me, but I recognize that these pages may resemble historical documents. I was there to learn Spanish and Central American history. I stayed with a family in San Jose; this was the best part of my trip. I learned most of my Spanish sitting in the kitchen talking with my host mom over un cafecito. I did travel around quite a bit on the weekends and holidays. I think of Costa Rica as my second home and I hope to inspire you to visit.
