Spokane is a smaller city in eastern Washington State. It is surrounded by mountains (with many ski resorts located on them) and farmland.
The Spokane River runs through the center of the city over a series of 3 waterfalls and a dam which makes an impressive sight in the springtime. The winter snow melt swells the river making the waterfalls, and the water flowing over the dam, extremely impressive.

- Pros:Lots of Nature, Rather Quiet Smaller City.
- Cons:No Nightlife, Everything Closes Early, Isolated From Rest Of World.
- In a nutshell:It's a place that you merely stop on a drive to elsewhere.

Oh, I think most people pretend the homeless don't exist anyway. Very Progressive of you; a "no, sorry" does suffice also.
spent some time at the shriners with my son, liked spokane alot. Sidhe play at some pizza place every sunday night, heard them?
When I was in Spokane as an exchange student, there really was NO nightlife, because I was under 21... Anyhow, it does have some nice shopping and the riverfront park of course...and every once in a while there is even a good concert there! :)
Good tips on Spokane! Did not see too much of it last time I had been there. That was in 89, when I was an exchange student in Chehalis, WA. Great area of the the US! You seem to make great shots, show some more of your pics. Regards from Germany!
Good comments! We use yr city as a jumping off spot for Idaho. What's the name of the big outdoor park with the river running thru it?
Great page with excellent tip! I hope to drive via Spokane during my incoming USA trip :-)). I will try to find a little nightlife there anyway hehe.
Excellant page...neat presentation
