Sinop! Hos Geldiniz!

After standing for several hours on a selection of crowded minibuses from Amasra, we finally arrived in the port and resort of Sinop, the northernmost place in Anatolia. I must admit to being a bit disappointed with Sinop, but in retrospect that is a bit unfair, as we had just arrived from Amasra and Safranbolu, two of the prettiest places in the Black Sea region, and were heading towards Amasya, another beautiful place. Had we arrived in Sinop straight from Britain, we would have probably thought it was great. It did however have an excellent cafe built into the ancient city walls, where we enjoyed listening to traditional Turkish music (performed with Turks in mind, not tourists) and sipping Turkish coffee.
I'll come back to this page later...I'm running out of time now, but I'll leave you with this picture of the harbourfront.

Hello Michael! I'm about to start building the second page on VT for Sinop. I guess for you it was an average city but for me it is one of the best on the northern coast. I'll let you know when I'm done!
