Grand Palace / Wat Phra Kaew: The Grand Palace
  • Tip Rating:
  • It is an amazing complex. It was built in 1783 and has 4 walls totalling 1900 metres. Within the walls are government offices and a royal chapel where one of the most important statues in Thailand is houses, the Emerald Buddha. It also has lots of other Wat (temples) and of course the royal residence. The picture is of one of many statues around one of the Wats.

    Wat Pho: Wat Po
  • Tip Rating:
  • Wat Po is one of my favourite temples. It is the temple of healing. You can get massages there and also they can give lessons in Thai massage. Rae had a massage, she thought it was amazing, and it was quite reasonably priced. The picture is of statues in different poses of massage.

    Wat Pho: Wat Po
  • Tip Rating:
  • This picture is of one of the longest reclining Buddhas in Thailand. It is amazing, it is a highly recommendable trip.

Wat Arun (Temple of the Dawn): Temple of the Dawn
  • Tip Rating:
  • This temple is just amazing, it was built in the mid 1850s. You cannot see it on the picture but the whole temple is decorated by broken china. And they only had enough for half of the temple. So they asked people in Bangkok to donate more china to finish it. It is wonderful to walk around it.

    Floating Market: Floating Market
  • Tip Rating:
  • I have been here a couple of times, every time I am just amazed with it. It is so colourful. It is extremely touristy, that is one thing I do not like. But it is still highly recommendable all the same.
