<center><font color="#003366" size=3>I was born in the Netherlands, in a place called Emmen. When I was about 11 years old my family emigrated to New Zealand. I lived there for about 20 years. For the last 3 years I have lived in London, some people ask me why I moved to London. The main reasons are to further my career and travelling, as New Zealand is quite isolated and expensive to travel from.

I have been addicted to travelling since my parents took me to Spain when I was 6 years old. And when I was 19 I took a world trip and I lived in Israel for 9 months in the Kibbutz. It was a great learning experience. The kind of travel I like is independant travelling without any tours, I think it is much more exciting to find your own way instead of following a group guide. When I went to Turkey I did go with a package holiday, I found it an interesting experience but I wouldn't like to repeat it.

<p>I am totally addicted to VT. It is great to see where other people have been and get recommendations of things to see and do. I have already a some people through VT, Amy in Malaysia who gave me a different perspective of Malaysia, and I meet 5 members in a pub in London. My main problem with travelling is that it is a very expensive hobby.
