Restaurant Name: A brasserie
We had a wonderful meal at a Brasserie a few blocks from our hotel. (stayed at the La Motte Picquet) I don't have the name of the establishment that we ate at because the paper that I had it written on has disapearred. I can however show you the wonderful dish that I had that evening. I am sure that it is representative of most of the places in Paris because we never ate a meal we were not happy with. We were not rushed to eat our meal and it was more of an event quite frankly than what we experience here in the states at a restaurant.
Favorite Dish: I had the steak and au gratin potatoes, but the potatoes were more like pommes anna with a little cheese. It was wonderful and even though I thought it was rather expensive, it was well worth it! My friend had the chicken which you can see in the picture. My husband had the all inclusive meal of duck pate', chicken and creme caramel, and my friend's husband had salmon as his child likes fish and they didn't want to buy a whole meal for a 3 year old.

La Brioche Doree: Pastries, bread and quiche!

Restaurant Name: La Brioche Doree
Even though this is a franchise, I have to give this place an A for effort! The food here was wonderful and the staff very pleasant. My husband and I shared the meal that I photographed and this was about 10 Euro. (food in Paris is beautiful, but not cheap!) This was a good way for us to have something on the quick side so that we could get back to our whirlwind tour of Paris!
Favorite Dish: Everything I have pictured here was really good! It was very hard to eat the fruit tart. It was like a work of art!

Pizza Luna: An Italian in Paris

Restaurant Name: Pizza Luna
Ok....we were sick of pastries, bread (the big joke was I hadn't eaten any bread in at least 10 minutes....there was so MUCH of it everywhere!), steak, wurst, and beer (we were also visiting Germany and Austria) so we opted for some Italian food one evening. Turned out to be one of the nicest evenings that we had in Paris. We met another couple who happened to be Americans that were living in Britain and had some wonderful conversation along with some great food! Pizza Luna had great service, a wonderful staff, and GREAT food. We had pasta dishes, but we were quite sorry we had not ordered pizzas.....they looked quite good:) This is a wonderful place if you are looking for a romantic dinner for 2 and a place to have wine cheaply!
Favorite Dish: We loved the mozzerella caprese! Sorry, I have no pictures....I was sans camera!
