Getting TO/AROUND: I travelled from Venice to Rome by an overnight train on the purpose of saving money, which resulted to be an absolutely awful journey. The reason why I’m feeling so bad is not because of the train itself, the train itself is OK with well equipment, but the local passengers who were very cheeky and dangerous. At that night, some miserable passengers (most of them were tourists) had to stand for the whole night although they had valid tickets, because some shameless local guys occupied their seats. These guys did not even have valid tickets, but kept sitting in the chairs that they had not paid for. Heavily argument continued for the whole night but no tickets owners could get their seats back. All these disgusting Italian passengers did make me sick. I’m quite sure that the majority Italian are gentle and polite, but I am not going to take Italian overnight train anyway. A seat of a 8 seats compartment cost me about 30 GBP return, but I did have a seat there, a bit more fortunate than some other tourists. :-)
