Getting to caracas you have two ways either by air or by sea. By air you arrive at Simon bolivar international airport on the caribbean in the coastal town of Maiquetia(5air hours from toronto and 30 cab minutes from caracas). You need a tourist card to visit venezuela which will be given to you on the plane. Those arriving by ship will land at La Guaira. From the airport you have two options for getting into the city a porpuesto, public transport avan or bus, will take you to PARQUE CENTRAL,near the hilton hotel. Or you may take a taxi at a little more cost. From LA GUAIRA you can take a taxi ride to caracas in about 30 minutes, and it is a climb. There are three tunnels that that must be driven through before caracas unfolds, after the first you will notice a difference in the heat.As you leave the third tunnel suddenly the city is there 12 miles up in the mountians.

Tolon, Sambil, and San Ignacio malls are larger/^popular than any areas mentioned. In 4yrs,my son has never rec'd a toy for a gift-kids bring shirts or candy; toys are too expensive. & the photo is of a govt building not shopping areas.
