Hi there Travellers , golfers and lovers of the Sun.
Welcome to Nobad's Wellington. In these pages I will endeavour to open the sites of Wellignton that may be missed by those travelling through Wellington City and its environment. I hope to be able to cover a wide range of things to do and see , so keep calling back to the page and checking out what is new.
Some historical stuff about Wellington, It is our nations capital, so always some thing happening here, the harbour formed by the floodwaters of what is called the Hutt river and the many other streams that end there, surrounded by hill sides the harbour offers great shelter for all manner of water sports, but also offers the housing great views of the water. Four Cities make up the Greater Wellignton area Wellington, Porirua , and Upper and Lower Hutt giving us a population base of around 400,000. A diverse ethnic mix also makes the city a varied and colourful place to live from the Maori , the indigenous people , those from the pacific Islands such as Fiji, Samoa ,Tonga, The Cook Islands , and many others , as well as Indians, Chinese, Cambodian's, Korean's Japanese and several other Asian Nations plus Italian's Hungarian's and many from central European Countries , and of course those from British descent. An important trading harbour in the early days, many of the relics from those days may be seen at various land marks and hostileries about the city.
