Pyramides concrete jungle, Las Americas

TENERIFFE LAS AMERICAS

This was a last minute holiday with a group of friends desparate for some sunshine.

I'm not sure I can describe it fully - a built up concrete jungle, aberdeen steakhouse, burger king, best english fry-ups, "if you fancy some foreign food, theres a good chinese down the road" (holiday rep).

The holiday was saved somewhat though by the fantastic on site entertainer at the Hotel Pyramides.
Ian Needle, you saved us from getting the next flight home!!

PUERTO RICO- GRAN CANARIA

Much improvement on Las Americas, although you still need to avoid countless egg & chip "restaurants"!

I have checked out other people's VT pages on the Canary Islands where they describe beautiful scenery, historical interest and culture. I don't deny that this exists - this is just an overview of my experiences on 2 cheap holidays where the only choice was the sun, sea & booze resorts!

Not that we didn't have a fantastic time though.....!
