This is the area that I come from originally and where my family still live. There isn't a huge amount of information here, mainly because I keep forgetting to take photos when I visit and also my knowledge of places to go to may be a bit out of date as I tend not to get much further than the village pub when I visit for weekends! Anyway i hope that my tips manage to give some helpful view on what to see or do in the area.

Pros and Cons

Pros:By the sea, Hythe/Sandgate and surrounding villages.
Cons:Folkestone town centre - development pending for years now!
