London Travel Guide: 23,065 reviews and 47,272 photos
I've lived in London now since 1996, for seven years living in North West London with an attachment to places near the Finchley Road and West Hampstead. In early 2004 I made the move to the South of the river.
I haven't bothered too much with writing about the traditional tourist attractions in the city - they are fairly self-explanatory and don't require much advice if you want to go and see them. My aim is that these tips will give you an idea of day to day life in London. If you're here for a short visit then there may be places you hadn't thought of going to, and if you are in London for a longer time then there may be some recommendations here that are helpful.
This is all my personal opinion however so I take no responsibility if you try a bar or restaurant etc and have a terrible time!!
"Tired of London, tired of life"...... I agree although there are starting to be regular moments when looking at property pages that I find myself considering other towns in the UK!
- Pros:People - everyone claims that London is cold and unfriendly - I've made more good friends in London than I have anywhere else.
- Cons:A decent job and yet still no chance of buying a house with a cat and garden!
