L'Amandier: French inventive cuisine

From time to time we like to return to this small, cosy and lovely decorated restaurant near the Genval Lake and we have never been disappointed. Stephanie and Marc Paul Volkaerts run this place in a perfect way. Since about 10 years Marc Paul does the cooking as an artist and Stephanie welcomes you as nobody else.

The restaurant is closed on wednesday, saturday noon and sunday evening

Favorite Dish: To celebrate a friends birthday, we had the menu "Balade Gourmande" at 40 € wine included, which started with three small appetizers or should I call them "munchies". Out of three starters, we choose a delicious mix of local crawfish and salmon or a carpaccio with foie gras, followed by an excellent fishsoup. As for the main course some ordered a wonderful beeffilet, while the other fishlovers had red mullet filet in saffran sauce. We ended up with a yummy ice-cream dessert.

Genval Les Bains Restaurant: At the Lake banks

With a view on the Genval Lake and luscious surroundings. The restaurant is part of the Chateau du Lac hotel.

Open 7 days a week from 9 pm to midnight. 90 settings. Average price: from 40.00 EUR. Business lunch: 16.00 EUR (starter and main dish ord main dish and dessert – drinks not included).

Favorite Dish: Have a look at their website and choose your menu. (you could almost taste it too...)
There is already a lunch for 16 € starter and main course, or main course and dessert.

As this restaurant is very near to my home, I already tried different dishes and was always very satisfied.
