Life as I like it
Local dishes and snacks. A super sun-deck terrace and outside restaurant with a nice view on Morzine at 1600 m level. An ideal place to have a "sun"-break while skiing. The inside part of the restaurant is lovely decorated in local mountain village style.
Favorite Dish: We had a delicious tartiflette with a bottle of cider. Cider is not really local here but very nice to drink with it.

restaurant la Chamade Morzine
You can't miss it. If you see huge wooden sculptures of cows along the road, that's the place to be. In summer on the terrace or inside the restaurant decorated in typical cosy chalet style. The "chef" is an artist in many ways. Depending on his mood, on the products available, on the season, he prepares delicious and nicely decorated dishes. He is even the autor of several books.

They have now a very nice terrace and even tables in the front garden.
Favorite Dish: As in every local restaurant, taste the typical Haute Savoie dishes as there are tartiflette, fondue, pierrade and pizza. Rainbow trout and steak are served with several vegetables and rice or french fries.
A plus is a dessert of pralin? ice and walnut alcohol. It definitively warms you up if you are cold.....
