My favourite restaurant has got to be 'The Brass Bell' in Kalk Bay, a little sea-side harbour town about 15 minutes from Simon's Town or 25 minutes from Cape Town. The restaurant overlooks the harbour wall and a very popular surfing spot. The sea-food is unforgettable, the service excellent. All-in-all, very good value.
Try to get a seat next to a sea-facing window and watch the waves crashing over the harbour wall!
On days when the sea has been really big the top restaurant windows (quite high up) have been broken out!
Favorite Dish: The 'Kalk Bay Platter' - it's for two and includes crayfish, prawns (Huge, about 3 inches each), mussels, line-fish of the day (yellow-tail, tuna) & rice. You can hardly finish it it's so big!
