Combined Suggestions: Chinatown and Fisherman's...
  • Tip Rating:
  • Chinatown and Fisherman's Wharf - These two areas feature shops that sell cheap knick-knacks that you probably can't anywhere else in the city. These shops are geared to sell stuff for tourists. You can go to both places in a day to grab souvenirs for relatives back home. Otherwise, go to other areas of SF (i.e. Haight-Ashbury and North Beach) to get a better feel of the city. If you are heading to Alcatraz, the ferry is located in Fisherman's Wharf.
