USA 2007 trip : Day 2
I visited the Flaming Gorge Recreation Area on the second day of my round trip, and I did it from Rock Springs (Wyoming).
This Flaming Gorge Recreation area is located partly in Utah and partly in Wyoming.
Coming from Rocksprings I took Highway 191 South wards, the firts part was bit boring,but after a while the scenery became more beautiful. And by taking this highway, you can make a loop around the Flaming Gorge, and you end up in Green River. You also cross the Flaming Gorge dam. There were several great viewpoints along the road (see picture).
This Flaming Gorge Recreation area is very famous for its boating and fishing recreation. |
