As there is no separate page on the Cotopaxi Volcano or the Cotopaxi National park, I will put my pictures and tips on this page,
After a good night of rest in the colonial hacienda La Cienega in Lasso, we visited the local market in Saquisili. And then it was time to climb the Cotopaxi Volcano.
The Cotopaxi volcano (5897 m) is located in the Cotopaxi National Park.
We did drive up to 4500 m with our bus, and from there on we hiked to the rest camp at 4800 m.
