Russian Cuisine: Russian restaurant

The owner of the St Petersburg Travellers Hostel had advised me this restaurant. It was very near, only a few minutes on foot.

The advantage was that all the food was in sight, so you could point what you desired.

As the menu was completely in Russian. The boy behind the counter could speak some English, like this you could know the difference between the pork dishes and the chicken dishes. You could choose between rice and potatoes.

The plate was cheap (280 Roubles, big beer included) and tasty

Favorite Dish: I had two rolls of Porc, one was filled with mushrooms and cheese the other was filled with tomatoes, this all with rice mixed with small vegetables.

    And a big Russian beer.

    PS : I had another beer for dessert (65 Roubles - 1 Euro = 35 Roubles)

Russian Cuisine: For a quick bite

I had booked two evenings in a theatre while I was visiting St Petersburg. And these events started already early (at 19.00), so I had to eat early. So after the theatre I wanted something more to eat. Like this I discovered this Fast food restaurant along Sadovaya.

It was just around the corner of the Hostel where I stayed.

The kebab plate was delicious and cheap (180 Roubles with a big beer).

The restaurant was very clean, and mostly visited by young Russians.

Favorite Dish: Chicken Kebab with delicious sause
