The last weekend of January there was the Djoser Travel-fair in Leiden. Djoser is a Dutch travel agency, where I booked my Mexico / Guatemala roundtrip (departure: next July). So like that I was invited to spend the weekend with my Dutch friends Tom and Gonnie (tompt), they live in a small village called Zevenhoven, near Amsterdam.
So on Saturday morning we visited the Djoser travel fair in Leiden. The location of this travel fair was quiet unique, in the St Pieters Church and in the afternoon we made a sightseeing tour in this beautiful University City. Thanks to VT, we did meet Caroline (carolineraat), who showed us the most beautiful spots. Unfortunately the weather was not our companion that afternoon, in fact the weather was terrible, a lot of rain and a very strong wind forced us to hide in a museum. Like that we visited the Lakenhallen museum, which was surely not a loss of time, it was very interesting, we did see a lot of beautiful paintings, and learned something about the city’s history and the cloth merchandising.
On Sunday we met Rob, Tom’s brother who is living in Amsterdam for more then 45 years. So he showed us Amsterdam, we started with a boat ride along the channels, and then we made an interesting sight-seeing walk along the Dam, the channels, the Heineken brewery, the Rijksmuseum, and much more . . . .
At the end of the weekend we all fell a bit tired but happy, because it had been a great weekend among friends

Great information. Amsterdam, the very famous city!
This is not actually a police camera. It is a tool used by the quantitty surveyors building the metro. It messures if the building starts sinking.
I suggest the translation Mint Tower. Between 1672 and 1673, a building to the right of the tower used to be the mint, the place where the coins of the city are manufactured by authority of the city government. Hence, the suggestion Mint Tower.
nothing on the red light area ? LOL ....................kenneth
