Kortrijk, a dynamic city on the boarders of the Leie River.
Kortrijk is also a textile centre with an international reputation. It's well known for its tapistry, furniture lining and clothing industry.
Kortijk has a rich historical background, it was the scene of the famous battle of the Golden Spurs in 1302, where the Flemish guilds defeated the French army.
It's about 20 km from my hometown Roeselare to kortrijk, so you can say it's really close by. Well when I go to Kortrijk it's for shopping or it's for the great Cinema complex Kinepolis near the Halles. In this Cinema Complex there are 10 screens so there is always a good choice to see the latest movies in the best quality.
