My hometown is Roeselare, but actually I do live in Rumbeke.
Since 1977 Rumbeke is merged with Roeselare.
At first I did not have the intention to post some pictures in a separate Rumbeke page, but on special request of an American VT-member (Camiel), who asked me to post some pictures because some of his ancestors came from here before they immigrated to America long time ago, I decide to do it anyway.
Like this I want to dedicate this page to Camiel.
Actually Rumbeke is not so big, but anyway we have some remarkable buildings, like the Caste of Rumbeke, the Bailiff house, The Kazand Mill, . . . |

KiKitC Tue Mar 21, 2006 15:20 UTC Definitely looks like a magical place to grow up. beautiful pics. | gtgel Tue Mar 29, 2005 03:13 UTC My Grandfather was born in Rumbeke in 1868. I have a picture of the farm he lived in. I was very suprised to see this farm house on your site. It is the Bailiff House. Do you have any more history on it? Gord Geldof geldof@sasktel.net | matcrazy1 Sat Dec 25, 2004 03:17 UTC You live in lovely off the beaten path. A lot of history behind the casyle there and lovely Chimney of the Bailiff House :-) Thanks for sharing. I must check on the map where Rumbeke is. |
