Getting TO/AROUND: Cheap flights from Charleroi airport (Brussels South) to London Stansted. I paid 0.99 euro per flight + airport taxes, so that was about 37 euro for a return flight to London, not bad, he. The flight was only 40 - 45 minutes, and on time.

Getting TO/AROUND: On board the Ryan Air flight they were also selling train tickets for the Stansted Express. It was also a cheap price, only 18 pound for a return ticket (at the office it was 23 pound). Unfortunately for me, I did not get one of these cheap tickets, as they only had 10 of these. What a pity.

Getting TO/AROUND: Best way to travel around in London, is using the Underground, or The Tube as they say here in London. Look for the big red circle, and you'll find a station easily. There are underground maps in every station. Look for your destination, choose the best line, and there you go. It is very easy to use, as each line has its own color.

Getting TO/AROUND: Well, it was kind of funny to discover that there was a tube station (and of course a street) with my name. (well almost, only one letter of differende a D instead of a T).

Getting TO/AROUND: If you are going to visit London, do not forget to buy a travelcard in your home country. I bought mine in the British tourism office in Brussels (Louizalaan). For a weekend I paid 10,50 Euro (= 6,10 pound). If I tell you that one ride with the metro costs 1,60 pounds. Well that is not so difficult to calculate, when you travel already 5 times by metro, you already have some profit. It is also an advantage that you do not have stand in a queue to buy a ticket, or no need to search for small money if you want to buy a ticket from a vending machine. You also can travel by bus with this card, and there a 1/3 profit when you make a boat ride on the Thames.

Getting TO/AROUND: Westminster Station looked very modern. It looked a bit like Fience Fiction (. . . a little bit)

Getting TO/AROUND: This is really a classic, the red dubbeldeck busses. It is one of the things you must see (and ride) when you visit London. Well, I think it is not possible not to see them, there are so many. You can also use your travel card on these busses.
