Flying to Venice with SN Brussels and other Venice, Italy Transportation Tips

Getting TO/AROUND: About 11 months ahaed I booked this flight. I booked this flight directly via the website of SN Brussels.

There were several flights a day. As I booked very early I had still all the possibilities to choose.
Si i booked the first flight of the day on my day of departure, and the last flight on the day of return. like this i had the maximum of time during my stay in Venice.

So that was a five day stay in venice.

The price for this flight was 247 euro - and was via an E-ticket.

Of course there are possibilities to fly cheaper, like with Ryan Air from Charleroi Airport. But I did choose for certainty. My flight was in Februari, and that is a period with fog possibilites, and from the moment there is fog, there are no planes leaving from Charleroi, and that was a risk that I did not wanted. Also SN is flying to the nearby Marco polo airport, as Ryan Air is flying further away to the airport of Treviso.

Getting TO/AROUND: So I did fly with SN Brussels airlines from Brussels to Venice (flight time 1h30).

I was lucky to have a window seat, especially when we were flying over the Alps.

And also there were almost no clouds, so we had a very good view on the snowy mountains.

What a great view (see my pictures).

Getting TO/AROUND: An easy and cheap way of transport from the Marco polo airport towards the city of Venice is by bus.

Maybe it is more spectacular to do this by boat but that is also more expensive.

You need to buy your ticket in the ticket office in the arrival area.

You can not miss it; look for the ATVO-sign.

Price for a single ride was 3 euro
Price for a two-way was 5 euro (3 days valid)

This price includes your luggage.

As I was staying in Venice for 5 days, I only could buy a single ticket, I bought the return ticket on the day of departure on the bus.

For your return, the bus is at Piazza Roma at Bay D2

This bus rides non stop and is about every 20 minutes

The ride was about a half an hour (depending on traffic)
