Whenever you are visiting the Tower Hill Game Reserve, you surely must climb the Tower Hill (not so difficult, on a paved walkway).

From the top you have splendid view over the Tower Lake, and you can see the volcanic craters which were created about 30.000 years ago because of a big volcanic explosion when the hot rising basaltic magma came into contact with the subterranean water table.

While we were driving along the Australian Roads with our bus, we had already seen several Kangaroos.

But of course it is much more exciting to search these animals in a Game Park. It was not so hard to find them, but it was not always so easy to make decent pictures of these great jumping animals.

Of course they do not sit still till you are finished making your picture, let’s not forget these are not tame animals. But anyway it was funny, searching and following these animals through the bushes in this Tower Hill Game Reserve.

Also on the way to the top of the Tower hill we did see some Kangaroos crossing the walk way.

We also did see several Koalas in the Tower Hill Game Reserve.

Of course you always find these animals in a Eucalyptus tree as this leafs are the main food of the Koalas.
Most of the time they are sleeping (about 18 hours a day) - as they are not very active it is easy to make some good pictures of these Koalas, of course you must be a bit lucky with the light and the position of the Koala in the tree.

These Koalas really look cute.

In my guidebook they also mentioned the Emus in the Tower Hill Game Reserve.

But during our search for Kangaroos, Koalas and other wildlife (birds), we did not see any Emus - well maybe the emus were on holiday, or it was there day-off (lol).

But okay, that is life when you go out for game spotting; you never know what you will see.

But when we drove towards the exit gate of the Tower Hill Game Reserve, we spotted some Emus in the grassland on the right side of the road. Of course we all yelled "PHOTO STOP ", and we all got out of the bus to make some pictures of these big walking birds. They look bit like ostriches but they are smaller.
