Coming from the Maquipucuna Reserve, we travelled further on to the South, via la Avenida de los Volcanes (Avenue of the volcanos).

This Avenida de los Volcanes is the central road through the high land of Ecuador, with a view at diverse big volcanos, like the Cotopaxi.

We stopped at La Mitad del Mundo.

The night before we visited the local market of Saquisilsi and the climbing of the Cotopaxi Volcano, we did sleep in a very beautiful, and. old Hacienda.

This Hacienda dates from the 17th century.

It was great to sleep at such a historical site.

In Ecuador Guinea pigs are a delicacy? I'll eat most things, but I have had too many pet guinea pigs when I was little to eat one ;-)

Haha Filip, you not part of the higher level, mmmm, I was thinking you had a suite there. I shall remember that next time when I see a stair and there is a forbidden sign there -lol-
