  nice page thanks. I grew up in Freiburg till 86. I never really went back, alway´s different priorities... you know. But now, after 23 years living in Chile I finally bought the trip trough the cities I grew up and will be in Freiburg some 2 weeks. :-)

  both times been in Stuttgart i had an idea to go to Freiburg but I didn't do that. I hope to visit this beautiful city one day, to taste Schwarzwaelder Kirschtorte too

  Excellent page, Michael! Yes, I quite agree that Freiburg im Breisgau is a must! I managed to climb up the Cathedral tower in 2004 and admired the scenery with joy. Pity my visit was too short... Your page helped me to learn more.

  I like your interesting tips on Freiburg -- but I don't understand why you call it "under-rated". Up here at least it has a fine reputation, especially as a university city and a center of sustainable urban planning. Glad you included a bicycle tip!

  The torte looks so delicious! The Vintage cars are quite interesting. Loved the "Off the Beaten Path tips". Cathedral of Freidburg is impressive. Since I'm so interested in architecture, I found Freiburg's delightful. Great work.

  Freiburg looks very interesting and I liked its little water canals running along the streets - a bit like Mendoza, Argentina. Great tips of some of the surrounding attractions too!

  I never had he impression that Freiburg i. Br. is under-rated. Maybe it is a little in the shadow of such great nearby places like Strassburg, Colmar and Basel but it has the nicest surroundings of all these ciities.
