The Rhine Valley looks beautiful. The castle hotels sounds to be nice places to stay in, but they are unfortunatly all too expensive.

Excellent page on Kaub and surrounding area! I remember the river castle being damaged in recent floods, maybe that explains the 'construction' nets? Fantastic river views and hotel info - I like the looks of Berghotel auf der Loreley as a place to stay!

very wonderful castle on the river (among other nice castles near by). Really pity I think that the hotel of the castle is closed forever.

I wonder whether the "Freistaat Flaschenhals" passport entitles you to enter this state when coming from outside the "Schengen" territory. Are the Human Rights valid here which allow every citizen to leave the state and to come back without problems?
