Local Customs: The ECHO of Koenigssee

When taking a cruise at Koenigssee you will be able to hear the famous "Echo vom Koenigssee", when the ship-guide will take out his trumpet and play a few tunes against the steep rocks that are sourrounding Koenigsee , the echo will return several times, that was really quite impressive.
Of course that echo works only because you will not hear any car-trafic there and there are no ships with ordinary engines allowed to go on Koenigssee, but all of the boats have electric engines with batteries lasting the whole day and beeing recharged during the nights.
After the echo the man with the trumpet will take a walk through the boat and will collect some tip from the passengers, so be prepared of this when taking a cruise on Koenigssee !
