The Appenzeller Land is quite high on my wish list as I haven't been there for ages. It's also a lovely place for hiking.

Lovely little page. We once wanted to visit this famous Swiss town, but finally didn't make it there. The table by the river is indeed quite interesting

Fine photos of these typical Appenzeller houses. When I think of Appenzell I first think of cheese, but I suppose the cheese is made in the canton of Appenzell, not the town.
