An ugly town in a great surrounding - Davos

In my personal "ranking" of wonderful places in Switzerland Davos and St. Moritz are at the very end of the scale, because both places certainly have a great surrounding, BUT the towns themselves dont have any flair to me and I dont see any reason to ever go back there again !
This town is a mixture of a very few (maybe 10?) traditional houses and hundreds of modern hotels, appartmenthouses and other ugly architecture set into the landscape without a special plan as it seems...

    Interesting to read your new page and tips here - hoped to get here last winter but the passes were blocked and couldnt make my way - hope to do more driving in lovely Switz before too long and get to places around Davos....
