The San Blas Islands are a group of small islands in Panama. I came there various times between 1979 and 1985, while I was working onboard of M/S Vistafjord & M/S Sagafjord of Cunard.
My best memory about these remote islands are the nice local people and their most famous products: The Molas !
- Pros:lovely, remote islands
- In a nutshell:lovely, remote islands

Visiting San Blas Islands and Panama is high on my wish list. And when I visit one day I will defenitely buy a mola!
Thank you for that great tour !
Thanks a lot, Don ! M/S Sagafjord was one of the 3 best ships of its time worldwide with 5stars and a plus (Vistafjord was the other one and the QE II had *****+ only for their 1st class)! Nowadays these ships are outdated and impossible to adapt to new regulations, so they were demolished !
It's great that you found and scanned some of your old photos of the San Blas Islands from the years 1979 to 1985. I wonder if the islands have changed a lot since you were there. Too bad the M/S Sagafjord does not exist any more!
