    • Nightlife Spot: From Karlsplatz to Marienplatz

    My favorite nightlife-spot in Munich is the pedestrian zone with all its great street-musicians untill late at night.

    Officially it might be too late for music in the streets but most of them sing inside the empty halls of the big shops, where the accoustic is even better than in the street.

    Mostly they are tolerated by the police, but will have to finish around 11.00p.m.

    It might be a great idea to make a stop-over in Munich, when your train passes by at night on your way to Salzburg or Italy....
    Get out of the train do some walking in Munich and take the next train to go on...

    Within a 15 minutes walk you get from the Hauptbahnhof to Marienplatz, everything is lighted untill around midnight or even longer.
    You pass by great buildings, may sit in one of the nice garden-cafes, listen to the street-musicians (untill 11.00p.m.) or simply search for the great architecture.

    On Marienplatz you walk on towards the old townhall and after 2oo meters you turn to the left in order to see Hofbräuhaus.
