That is a strange title for my page about PERM, but one of my russian friends wrote to me, when I told her that I am going on a cruise from Perm to Moscow :

I wonder what they are showing you there except the ballet-school ...

And this is one of the many lovely russian orthodox churches of Perm.

Excellent page with interesting observations of Russian reality from the point of view of a foreigner! I've been to Perm' when a teenager in far 1967 and remember nothing about it. Thanks Michael for your promotion this off the beaten path Russian city.

A very comprehensive view of Perm. The State Theatre of Ballet & Opera, the churches, the wooden houses, as well as that blue building were are terrific. Your cruise room's bathroom left much to be desired. Thanks for this tour.

That's a very substantial-looking State Theatre of Ballet & Opera. -- But too bad about the unwashed windows in that tour bus!

wo Moscheen sind ist Alla nicht weit. Das Kätzchen ist sicher ein sibirischer Tiger, hält Kälte gut aus, und die Ohren ohne Gesicht ein Denkmal für den Unbekannten KGB-Typ von der Telefonüberwachung

wonderful city and i like it. although i didn't see it in summer time and i'm envious you saw it without snow :-)
