While being in Germany I always admired its Kanals (in Gahlen we lived at the bank). But I was suffering with a question: Why almost all Soviet Canals (many of them were copies of German Kanals) were constructed by means of GULAG? Great VT-job, Michael!

Wow, Michael, one amazing contraption after another in Rendsburg! I loved both the Schwebe-Fahre ferry and spiral railway bridge, very interesting ways to cross the canal. Beaut photos of the ships too, the old M/S Vistafjord looks sleek!

That transporter bridge is really interesting. I've seen others in Buenos Aires and Middlesborough but they're like bifg Meccano sets. leyle

Kiel-cannal looks like really interesting place to visit, maybe will come one day to see the ships here :-)
