Hiking paths are well marked

All the way to Prebischtor is well marked with plenty of signs in the woods.
Simply remember that all the area is used to get drinking-water for the cities nearby, and this is also the main-reason, why parking of your car is ONLY allowed at the marked spaces...

...and what a coincidence - all of these parking-spaces you have to pay for.

NO problem these fees are almost ridiculous for tourists, although the local people even pay less.

On the right of my pic-combination you see one of the many wooden signs that will mark the path to Prebischtor

Take the train to Hrensko

The train-station for Hrensko is on the opposite side of the river Labe / Elbe.
The trainstation is called Schoena, and a small ferryboat will leave for Hrensko, whenever a train had stopped there.

This pic is taken from Hrensko, and unfortunately you get no idea about the rather big distance of that train, with the river Labe, not beeing seen in the pic.

all paths lead to Prebischtor

There are many different paths leading to Prebischtor. You could walk directely from Hrensko, but according to my books the path from Mezni Louka is the easiest to walk.
This sign is just 600 meters from Pravcicka Brana / Prebischtor, after 1,5 hours of walking through the woods.

Fill up your tank,BUT be prepared

Be prepared that plenty of people in Hrensko will fill up their tank at the last filling-station of Czechia because the petrol is about 25% cheaper than in Germany.
Be prepared of long queus of cars there and better fill up the tank in Decin or any other place nearby.
Plenty of Germans just cross the border, fill up the tank and go back.

Park your car

Parking of cars is ONLY allowed at certain places.
If you park your car at any other places, high fines will have to be payed.
There is a small fee, that you have to pay for parking your car in Hrensko. In town you pay an hourly fee, at Mezni Louka (where the walks to Prebischtot will start ) a fixed rate will apply, no matter how long you stay.

a very special car in Hrensko - Hrensko

Get there by car

To get there by car is the easiest and it will also be the best and quickest way to the parking, where you may start the hike to Prebischtor.

On your way to the parking at Mezni Louka you will pass by this great car...

...just a few years ago, if you were caught to take a picture of such a truck, you would have to spent a long time in prison.
These top-secret trucks were used to transport Intercontinental rockets for the russian army.
Nowadays they are sold to anyone... ( I am sure Bresniew will start rotating in his grave...)
