Terezin - Theresienstadt - a shame for mankind !

by globetrott - last update: Sep 25, 2003

Terezin / Thersienstadt
Terezin / Theresienstadt was not only an "ordinary" KZ by the Nazis, but it was also a place for their propaganda :

Inside the walled town of Terezin they build an "autonome jewish ghetto" with their own newspaper, theatre, orchestra, barbershop etc...

...simply in order to demonstrate the delegations of the red cross, that nobody was killed there
At the same time they had another KZ inside the "small fortress", where people were held in prison, killed or deported to other KZs...
Terezin - the small fortress
