Vyskov is about 40 km east of Brno / Brünn and is a great and interesting place to visit for all those people who are interested in
Eastblock airplanes, tanks and Helicopters
You simply have to leave the highway and drive on direction Prirov and will pass by an old airfield that displayes certainly hundreds of old planes, helicopters, tanks and other military vehicles that you would never have been able to see during the times of the Communists.

From the pictures, I couldn't see any western built plane. I'm no expert of the Soviet aircrafts, but I know the American and Western European ones pretty well. Very interesting place. I'd love to sit in the cockpit of one of those MIG-21's.

In CZ these planes form a museum, in Post-Sovietistan (Ukraine, Central Asia) you can still fly with them (eg. AN-24) on regular scheduled flights, even internationally, Tashkent - Bishkek.

A little bit different page, but very, very interesting. I like it, Michael.
