Restaurant Name: Restaurant & Hotel Gotisches Haus

The Restaurant & Hotel Gotisches Haus is where I had my lunch and I may highly recommend it for an excellent menu and nice joice of wines. The building takes back to the 12th century and you may see at many places, that the architect tried to combine the cosy atmosphere of old natural stones and gothic arches with modern facilities and great furniture.
When you click on my picture, you may see the library in the back, that is used as the house-bar and in front the restaurant in the entrance-hall of the hotel.
In the cellar they have a great medieval vault transfered into a cosy wine-bar.

Favorite Dish: I had "Schweizer Leckerli" (Swiss delights) - medaillions of pork with a Gorgonzola-sauce, mushrooms and "Spaetzle", gratinated with cheese.
Spaetzle are some kind of rather soft noodles, a speciality in that area !!

I payed 16,80 Euros for it togeather with 2 glasses of grape-juice.

Take a snowball for 2nd breakfast

Restaurant Name: B�ckerei Trump

B�ckerei Trump is a small bakery next to Markusturm. I was searching for a 2nd breakfast and I wanted to try the famous Schneeballen, that I saw at so many places.

Favorite Dish: So this is the Schneeballen / snowball, and when you click on my picture, you may see the principal of it.
Make sure your teeth are in good order...
...or be prepared to wave good-bye to them, when eating Schneeballen !!
Once in a lifetime is enough, BUT I may imagine that this desert gets better, when stored a long time, maybe in a tin-box, like in the old times, like cookies at Christmas-time.

I payed 1,40 Euros for the Schneeballen.

Restaurant Name: Baumeisterhaus

I mainly was attracted by the unique fassade of the building, but this place is also a great traditional restaurant and "Konditorei" with delicious homemade cakes and icecream !

Favorite Dish: Why not trying some local food:
Schweinsbraten mit Kn�del und Krautsalat
(roasted pork with dumplings and white cabbage-salad.)
In general you may find 2 different kinds of dumplings that are served with meat :
Kartoffelkn�del - made of potatoes
Semmelkn�del - made of rolls and white bread (my favorites!!)
