an old tower, a bear & more

by globetrott - last update: Sep 28, 2007

Breitenbrunn is just a few km north of Rust and Eisenstadt and in that quite unique tower you will find an interesting museum
Hoehlenbaer / Ursus Spelaeus is one of the exhibits in that tower

aha! now I know the homeland of the sandstone for the Stefansdom! It could be very interesting to see all those tools for cutting in the museum

What a view :) And happy memories of visits to Burgenland, although we haven't yet made it to Breitenbrunn

I wouldn't climb that tower if u paid me to do so! But I'm glad that people like you are brave enough to venture to such places and give us a virtual tour. Those pics make my stomach tingle as I'm afraid of heights...But the bear? skeleton looks fun..Tim
