    Getting TO/AROUND: There is an OEBB-bus from St. Veith an der Glan to Hochosterwitz Abzw (Abzweigung) or < Launsdorf Burg Hochosterwitz > twice the day in both directions :
    leaving St. Veith at 05.50a.m. and at 01.25 p.m., arriving in Hochosterwitz about 10 minutes later.
    back again the buses will leave in Hochosterwitz at 07.03 a.m. and at 03.17p.m.
    Unfortunately these departure-times will not make a lot of sense for the ordinary tourists, except that you take the early bus, hang around in Hochosterwitz untill they open at 08.00a.m. from May till September or the rest of summer at 09.00a.m.

    Getting TO/AROUND: Take a look at this unique construction : a simple chain is tearing up the cabin of this lift to Hochosterwitz castle. You have to pay 4 euros extra, when you decide to take that lift uphill, you will get a coin that you have to insert at the revolving door at the entrace to that lift. Downwards this lift is totally free of charge, no controls, no gates where you have to insert anything, so maybe you might save some money when you walk uphill and take the lift downwards.
    Press the button in order to call that lift, it will also start to take you up, when you press another button, so you dont need to wait like at similar lifts.

    Getting TO/AROUND: Public transportation is some kind of a problem in that area, so it is the best to go to Hochosterwitz castle with your private car. It is just about 7 km from St. Veit an der Glan, an easy road with almost no trafic at all and when you arrive at the castle-hill you simply have to follow the signposts to the large parking on the foot of the hill.
    There was a small parking-fee for the whole day, unfortunately I do not remember the amount, some of the parking-spaces are in the shade, a great advantage on a hot summerday !

     Toll, Michael, bin begeistert... War irgendwann auf Schullandwoche ( lol...) in St. Veit und Hochosterwitz stand natürlich auf dem Programm, Hundertwasserkirche und Fuchsbrunnen, woww !!
